Coach's Notes

Hope everyone is enjoying these final days of the school year!  A special "shout out" to our Tiger Cub swimmers who continue to make practice attendance consistently, with all the end of year activities going on.  Final meet entries are complete for our FAST Summer Jam (June 7-9) and Noblesville's Enchanted Forest (July 28-30).  We are looking forward to some great swims from our young athletes at both competitions!  The level of challenge and success continues to be raised by this TC2 group.  Many of the swimmers took on the "Ironman" events at our FAST Friday and showed their grit and determination, swimming the longer, more challenging events.  Congratulations are in order- Tiger Up!  We are also working to learn and improve the team's new SwimStrong dryland program.  The swimmers learn and practice the new exercises and then have opportunities to show "Mastery".  Check out their report cards, which earn them treats and treasures!  A final "thank you" to the parents.  Without your support, we would not be having the successes we are.  Coach Ellen and myself are very proud of everyone's EFFORTS in making this a great group of young Tiger swimmers.

We will have another week of training (2 weeks for those not attending the Duel in the Pool) before a week of recovery. We have a lot of meets packed into our short summer schedule, it's going to get busy.

High School Prep

High school swimming is an important component for our FAST senior athletes. The high school season is a great time for team building, skill progression, and continued development. Within each high school program, there are athletes who do not compete year-round in swimming. As such, they enter each new high school season needing to re-learn strokes, refine techniques, and increase conditioning and endurance. The FAST High School Prep Program offers these high school only swimmers an opportunity to remain in the water throughout periods of the year as best meets their schedule and affords them the opportunity to enter the next high school season much better prepared to contribute to their team immediately.
