IMX Challenge

The IM Xtreme (IMX) Challenge, sanctioned by USA Swimming, is a comprehensive ranking system that evaluates swimmers based on their performance in a series of five or six events, spanning longer distances. Upon completion of the IMX program, swimmers can discover their national, zone, LSC, and club rankings, accessible on the USA Swimming website or through the USA Swimming mobile app, Deck Pass. Athletes aiming to progress from Tigers 3 to Tiger Pride must achieve an IMX score of at least 2,500 points.  Athletes aiming to progress from Tigers 1 or 2 to Tigers 3 must achieve an IMX score of at least 1,500 points. 

10 & Under

  • 200 Free

  • 100 Back

  • 100 Breast

  • 100 Fly

  • 200 IM

11-12 year olds

  • 400 Free (LC) or 500 Free (SC)

  • 100 Back

  • 100 Breast

  • 100 Fly

  • 200 IM

13-18 year olds

  • 400 Free (LC) or 500 Free (SC)

  • 200 Back

  • 200 Breast

  • 200 Fly

  • 200 IM

  • 400 IM

IMR Challenge

The IM Ready (IMR) Challenge, an initiative by USA Swimming, invites swimmers to engage in a series of five events at shorter distances, culminating in a score and club ranking. Once swimmers complete each event, their scores and rankings become visible on the USA Swimming website or through the mobile application Deck Pass. Aspiring to transition from Tiger Cubs 1, Tiger Cubs 2, or Tiger Cubs 3 to Tiger Stripes, athletes must attain an IMR score of at least 1,000 points.

10 & Under

  • 50 Fly

  • 100 IM (SC) or 200 IM (LC)

11-12 year olds

  • 200 Free

  • 50 Back
