A Quest for Excellence
The coaching staff, led by Coach Keller, believes the club's success is defined by "defined systems," the ability to "reflect and adjust," and the practice of planning for challenges. The club's strategic goals for the future are to continually prepare, give championship efforts, and make consistency normal.

Updates and Assignments
Event Support Requirements
Hosted swim meets provide high-quality competition for FAST athletes, while also lowering training dues and travel costs for families. To make these meets happen, all families are required to provide event support, whether or not their swimmer is participating. Support roles can be filled by parents, siblings (age permitting), grandparents, neighbors, or friends.
The club needs help with a number of key positions, including meet coordinators, officials, hospitality committee members, announcers, and computer operators. Please reach out to a board member if you have questions.
-
Financial Penalties: Families who don't sign up, mark themselves as "Unavailable to Work," or don't show up for their shifts will be charged a $75 penalty per session. This fee is waived if an athlete is competing in a higher-level event, like the TYR Pro or Winter Nationals, that conflicts with a FAST-hosted meet. However, the obligation is enforced if the athlete participates in any part of the FAST-hosted meet.
-
"Unavailable to Work" Fees: If a family marks themselves as "Unavailable to Work" before the sign-up window closes, they will be charged a fee. The fee starts at
$25 per session. After three "Unavailable to Work" instances in a year (September to August), the cost increases to
$50 per session, and after six instances, it increases to $75 per session.

For the first time in eight years, FAST is updating its training fees. The club's board decided to increase training fees to remain competitive with other clubs by being able to raise pay for lifeguards, coaches, and instructors. The board aims to keep the new fees the same for the next three years to provide stability for families. The new fees are based on the "offered pool time" for each group and are still collected over a nine-month period.
