FAST Booster Club Meeting - Wednesday, July 16, 2008 @ 6:30 PM
The next FAST Booster Club meeting will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at 6:30 PM in the FHS Aquatic Center Classroom. All parents with swimmers on the team are encouraged to attend. We have a lot of upcoming projects and need all the help and support we can get!

Special Note: Effective immediately, for all FAST hosted invitational meets, team members will automatically be entered in the meet unless they sign-out. For the rest of the meets, including away invitationals and the FAST Friday Races meets, swimmers will have to sign-up to be entered.

Bill Pemberton Accepts Head Age Group Coach Position At WTSC…
The FAST Tigers congratulate
Coach Bill Pemberton on his new position as Head Age
Group Coach at Washington Township Swim Club in
Indianapolis.
Bill will be leaving FAST at the
end of the summer season to assume his duties at WTSC. Bill coached with the FAST Tigers for the past two years as he headed up the Bronze Tigers during the 2007-2008 season and Blue Tigers during the 2006-2007 season. During that time, he provided a calming and nurturing presence to his athletes and was an outstanding coach & teacher. He was truly a great part of what the FAST Tigers accomplished during the past two years. Not only is Coach Pemberton a super person and a class act, but he has a great sense of humor! As someone that loves the coaching profession, I’m very pleased and excited that an individual of Bill’s caliber is getting an opportunity to be a full time coach at a program where he accomplished a great deal at before he came to FAST. Far too often, our profession loses quality individuals because of financial, family and job commitments. This is a great opportunity for him to be successful and fully commit to a profession that he truly loves. FAST Swim Lessons Now Taking Registrations For The 2008 Summer Sessions The Fishers High School Aquatic Center is currently accepting registrations for 2008 Summer Lessons sessions (7/7/08 to 7/31/08). Our swim lessons are structured to provide a safe and nurturing aquatics experience for the students. From novice to competitive level swimmers, our lessons encompass proper swim instruction, technique and endurance workouts. All children must be at least three-years-old and toilet trained in order to take swim lessons. It is highly recommended that you sign-up ahead of time ASAP. We assign classes and schedule instructors based on advanced sign-ups. Walk-ins will only be taken if there is space available in the class.

Exciting News...Maggie Moss To Return To FAST As The New Head Age Group Coach!
The FAST Tigers are thrilled to announce that Maggie Moss will be returning to FAST as the new Head Age Group Coach beginning in the fall of 2008. She is the second Head Age Group Coach in the FAST Tigers history and fills a position that was vacant for the past year. Maggie spent the last nine months at Indiana University as a Volunteer Assistant Coach for the IU Men's & Women's Swimming & Diving team. She will finish her coaching and camp responsibilities at IU this summer and start with FAST sometime in August.
Maggie began her promising coaching career at Fishers as she served as an Assistant Coach for the Fishers HS Swimming & Diving team and the FAST Tigers during the 2006-2007 season. Before coming to FAST & FHS in 2006, Coach Maggie swam for George Washington University and was the 2004 and 2006 Atlantic 10 champion in the 100 backstroke. She also finished as the conference runner-up in the 200 back in 2005 and the 200 IM in 2004 and was named GWU's Most Valuable Swimmer in 2005 and 2006 and is the school record holder in the 100 back, 200 back, 200 IM and 400 medley relay. Maggie qualified to the US Swimming National Championships in the 100 back and she was a six-time participant at Nationals. In the classroom at GWU, she was a four-time Atlantic 10 Conference Commissioner's Honor roll member and a three-time USA Swimming Scholastic All-American. Maggie received a bachelor's degree in English from George Washington in 2006. She also graduated from North Central HS in Indianapolis in 2002.
We're very excited to have her back with the Tigers!
